Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is one of the popular treks in the Langtang region. North of Kathmandu valley lies Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung. The region is culturally rich, mostly inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa communities and their tradition, rituals, life-styles, cultures spiritually appeal to anyone’s mind. The Langtang region is protected as Langtang National Park. The rare red pandas lurk in dense lichen-draped rhododendron thickets, heards of blue sheep graze the alpine meadows and lammergeiers glide over glaciated valleys amidst a scenery of lofty Himalayan peaks.
